WOOOO! And there is PLENTY more screen tone where that one came from! I told you I was going to use the shit out of it. I’ll get tired of it eventually and stop overusing it, but not today. Anyway. That is from the newest episode of SDC PRESENTS: PALMER & COX where the wrestling gangs take the fight to Palmer and Cox.

2 / 18 / 26 – We got a hump day update and it is appropriately Palmer and Cox!

It’s Wednesday my dudes. You know what that means…nothing. It doesn’t mean anything, it’s just Wednesday. Speaking of Wednesday why? If you were reading it you’d think “WED-NEZ-DAY” because of course, but actually, no it’s pronounced “WENDS-DAY” It’s just ludicrous. Or maybe the “dn” portion of Wednesday just glob together and that’s why it sounds that way. Thanks for coming to my TED TALK about how fucking stupid English is sometimes.

Onto the comics! Well, just one today. Got a PALMER & COX update and good news, there’s some wrasslin’ action. That is something I fully intend to incorporate into the PALMER & COX stories as it’s part of the design of their hometown, Parts Unknown. An Ultimate Warrior gang was always in the cards, and now I came up with a few more. There’s actually not a lot of wrestlers who famously hailed from Parts Unknown, but there’s some good ones left. Doink, for instance, but that’s going to get pretty Jokery in a hurry, so we’ll see if I do that.

Hell yeah. I could space them out, but I’ve been light on updates, so we’ve got a new FDAGENT page…

…but wait, there’s more! There’s also a PALMER & COX update! Excited for the next one as the wrestling gangs were a key part of the Parts Unknown landscape as I envisioned it. You’re going to see an Ultimate Warrior gang fight a Kane gang fight a Demolition gang in the next page, maybe it’ll even take two if I get rolling on the fight scene.

2 / 10 / 26 – I remember when Sam Darnold was the Vikings QB…

…but JJ McCarthy is the future. Hell yeah. I don’t actually have a comic to post today, but it’s been a while since I updated, so I’m going to share what I’ve been working on.

It’s Loon related. The Loon doesn’t have a page yet, but I really do like the character. I just wasn’t crazy about the grim and gritty tone of that first comic. It’s more a social commentary than a comic book thing. So I’ve been working on retooling the character into something more fun. So today here’s a few concept drawings, The Loon is pretty dialed in now but the rest are a work in process. The Guy Fox character you can see has drastically different designs in the two pictures of him. So very much a work in process, but process stuff is always fun to see, so without further French word…

…ah, that’s always the best part of the process for me. The character creation and design part is always a blast. Alright, so that’s a work in progress obviously. It’ll be something someday, but fleshing it out for now. I’ve got other ideas like that and maybe I’ll share some of that down the road.

I do have an FDAGENT about half done. Been dragging my feet on the stories I’m working on as I plan out the future ones. So I’ll get that FDAGENT up later on this week, then I’m going to jump over to PALMER & COX and then I should really get back to THE SHITTER too. I sure do hope I’m right about JJ McCarthy, but seeing Sam Darnold immediately win a Super Bowl does not fill me with optimism. Time will tell. Ok bye. – Matt

2 / 2 / 26 – It’s pronounced FEB-YOU-ARY but it’s spelled FEB-RU-ARY the English language is a scam!

No, it’s just gibberish. I got it done, so without further French word…THE LOON!

Not sure how long THE LOON will go with this straight up murdering iteration, but you know, there’s Nazis now so a while I suppose. I do plan on him evolving past using guns and shit as he gains traction, but this is the origin. A hero born of the times he’s living in. We’ll see how he evolves and what kind of gadgetry and less lethal weapons he employs, but glad to have gotten this page down, I seriously underestimated how annoying all those HAHAs were going to get by the end. Alright, not sure what I’m jumping back onto next. FDAGENT was left on quite a cliffhanger, so that one makes the most sense, but PALMER & COX is just so fun to draw I might just jump back over there. 1 / 29 / 26 – Just a little update, hopefully it’ll be done tomorrow

Alright, working on a new comic introducing a new character. Way back when, superheroes came to be because of what was happening in the world. Captain America became famous for punching Hitler in the mouth for crying out loud. This new comic and this new character were born of what’s been going on in Minneapolis these last few months. When there are no hero’s, sometimes you gotta make your own.

1 / 28 / 2026 – Palmer & Cox #6 today!

And boy was “Saturday, bloody Saturday” an apt title for that update. It’s a very sad time for America, folks, we’re actively watching it rot from the inside out. Luckily, today’s comic has nothing to do with any of that, it’s about a placed called Parts Unknown (wrestling fans know it) where lots of residents have body parts for heads. Penis. Hand. Eye. Ear. And as of today, boobs too.

Updates have been slower, been fleshing out some stuff I’ll be diving into after I wrap up this first slate of stuff like FDAGENT and SHITTER. 1 / 24 / 26 – Saturday, bloody Saturday

Took a while, but got the next episode of FDAGENT up finally. Here’s a panel I think looks cool. Love the pose.

Had a busy week and it took longer than I’d hoped, but got it up, giggity, and we’re on to the next one. I’m thinking it’s time to jump back over to SDC PRESENTS: PALMER & COX and then I do have to wrap up THE SHITTER at some point too. Have been working on AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM strips too, just trying to hold off getting too far ahead of myself here on the site when they haven’t all been posted to socials yet.

Other than that, it is fucking cold and will be for the foreseeable future, so layer up, folks. – Matt

1 / 17 / 26 – Getting an FDAGENT up before the foosball starts, hell yeah

Alright, alright, alright, we have entered the danger zone. By danger zone, I mean someone gets an eye gouged out in this FDAGENT episode! Excellent! This image is unrelated to that, but I can’t put the eye gouge image here, that would be foolish.

So I’ve been mostly doing these comics off the cuff, meaning I’m not plotting them out too far out and have a vague idea of the ending. I don’t think that is a bad strategy for making comics, beyond the ending part I think having the ending pinned down is more important than I first thought, but I also think it contributed to the pacing issues I see in this FDAGENT story. Like, this is episode 13 and we’re just getting some action. For this style of story, I’m not thrilled about that, and in retrospect I see spots I could’ve done differently.

It’s a learning process and I’ve seen significant improvement already. I think I can get to the point where these stories are gonna be solid, then good, then very good, and hopefully, at some point, fucking awesome. Hell yeah. – Matt

1 / 16 / 26 – It’s an FDAGENT Friday

Got a new FDAGENT up…

…they’re bonding. I really like how those heavy blacks with the hashmarks look in spots, and then think it looks bad in others, so you’re going to be seeing a lot of that while I figure out how to make it look good more often than bad. Got an idea, so we’ll see how much better it gets on the next piece. Speaking of what’s next, I’m leaning towards SDC PRESENTS: PALMER & COX because that one’s just ridiculous fun, but I also got some action coming up in both FDAGENT and THE SHITTER so we’ll see.

Oh, and AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM will be delayed until Friday this week because I got put in Reddit jail, and posting that strip on social media is why I started it in the first place. On that note, I have an idea for another strip, this one superhero related, but haven’t got it dialed in yet. There’s a ton of AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALSM strips I have to do yet, so it’ll be a while, but there is a nugget of an idea there I really like. Ok, that’s it, be safe out there and fuck ICE. – Matt

1 / 12 / 26 – Nothing to show today unfortunately

I’ve been working on new title pages for AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM but want to post those with the next new strip, so I won’t be showing those off today. I do have a page of FDAGENT and a page of SDC PRESENTS: PALMER & COX in progress, but it’s early stages on both and I know I’ll get distracted by working on those title pages again. It’s fun and I need the practice with lettering, I’d like to do my own dialogue lettering someday but my natural handwriting is absolute shit, so I need to concentrate and go slowly to end up with anything that doesn’t look like a semi literate chimpanzee wrote it.

Also been working on plotting out some stuff, want to start that Bewildering Adventures of Sam Heck (it’s in ARCHIVES if you want to see the proto version) strip in earnest, but that ones got some legs so I want to make sure I’ve got a few stories planned out before I dive back into it.

Just kidding, I saw the cold hand of fascism shoot that woman in the face. Stay safe everyone, things may get significantly worse before they get better.

Here, I did get that episode of THE SHITTER done. I struggled a bit with the scene where he uses his power, which remember is that he can read minds but only if he sits on the same toilet seat as his target after them, but I think it turned out alright. I also put up another AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM the other day, but didn’t make a post cuz I was hopeful I’d get that Shitter done too. Next up, not sure, FDAGENT or SDC PRESENTS: PALMER & COX, we’ll see.

Alright, I got distracted today and made minimal progress on the episode of THE SHITTER I was working on. I’m not done with what I got distracted with just yet, but here’s a teaser. I think it’s going to be a very funny piece when it’s done.

I can’t give any more information without ruining the bit. Anyway, that will be done tonight or tomorrow and I do intend to finish that episode of THE SHITTER and get back to FDAGENT and SDC PRESENTS: PALMER AND COX but it’s a problem of too many ideas and not enough hands to draw them with. 1 / 4 / 26 – SKOL VIKES, FTP, and two three panel comics!

It’s Sunday and you know what that means, it’s time to watch the Vikings close out one of the more disappointing seasons in recent memory. On the bright side, they do have a chance to send Green Bay limping into the playoffs. We’ll see what game I’m watching after the first quarter.

I put these up yesterday but didn’t make a post. Two of my AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM series of three panel comics. I’ll post some small versions here and then head over to SHORT STRIPS to see full size and previous few strips. Without further French word…

Alright, those are way bigger than I’d hoped. Well, I’ll mess around with it, but they might just be that big. I’m working on a SHITTER page and should have that done today or tomorrow. After that I plan on getting back to FDAGENT and moving that forward and, of course, I’ve got to get back to SDC PRESENTS: PALMER AND COX so everyone can laugh at Cox for pulling a gun on two kinky cats. 1 / 2 / 26 – WHAT DAY IS IT?!

I’ve thought it was Saturday since Christmas. There’s NFL games on every other day, college football games on every day, in the middle of the day, how is anyone supposed to keep track of time in those kind of conditions? Speaking of the NFL, SKOL VIKES FTP, here’s hoping they can send GB into the playoffs on a downswing.

On the comics side, I did get that episode of THE SHITTER done and we are getting precariously close to seeing him use his very unique power. If you don’t remember, or if you’re new, that power is: he can read minds, but only by being the next person to sit on the same toilet seat as his target. It doesn’t have to be warm, he just has to be next. So. Fucking. Dumb. But, if you haven’t noticed, I like the really dumb stuff quite a bit. On that note, here’s a preview image from the new episode!

“how aboot a toot” Alright, haven’t decided what’s next, but I might dive right into the next SHITTER to finally get him using that power we talked about earlier. Beyond that, I’m leaning towards working on a few of those three panel SHORT STRIPS. I’ve got maybe ten ideas in the tank and should get them down. The plan is to use those on socials to promote the site and my work. Three panel swipeable comics are just far more digestable than the full pages I primarily put up. We’ll see where we land. Fight the urge to add “nurse” every time I write a drawn out hello. Animaniacs influence is inescapable. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Today I’ve got another episode of PALMER AND COX uploaded. The last panel makes me laugh a whole lot, but we’ll see how it plays with people who didn’t draw it. I won’t preview that panel for you, but this one’s fun too…

Alright, that’s today’s update! Should have the next episode of THE SHITTER up tomorrow sometime. Barely started, so we’ll see. Outside of that, still have FDAGENT to get back to and PALMER AND COX is cruising along at a good clip, so there’s a good chance I’ll just pivot back to that those two freaks when I figure out the next segment.

Update today. Got a page of Palmer and Cox today. I’m really loving all the weird characters to play with visually on this one. In today’s episode Cox catches up with an informant of his Tommy Peeps.
